These words from the Imaam Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-'Uthaymeen (d.1421H) serve as an elementary introduction into the subject of al-Qadr (Pre-Destination). The Noble Scholar begins by tying this topic into the issue of Tawheed and shows the reader how Qadr is connected to the Oneness of Allaah. Then, after expounding upon the three categories of Tawheed, he goes on to list the three main views on the issue of Qadr. Two of them are views of the extremist Islaamic sects, and one view is the just and moderate view of Ahlus-Sunnah. Throughout the remainder of the article, the Shaykh gives proofs and real life examples in order to give the reader a sound understanding of Qadr.
