Shaykh Saalah al-Fawzaan says: Faith in Allaah is the absolute belief that He is the Lord of everything, and it's King. He is characterized by the most perfect attributes, for verily He is above every fault or defect. He alone is deserving of worship without any partners along with Him. And we are established on that in knowledge and action. [Sharhul Aqeedatil Waasitiyyah (p. 13)]
Abdul Ghafaar Ibn Muhammad said: Abu Alee as-Suwaan informed us: Bishr Ibn Moosaa informed us: Verily al-Humaydee said: Verily the fundamental principles of the Sunnah with us are...[So he mentioned some things, then he said] ...and what is spoken about in the Qur'aan and hadeeth such as: "And the Jews say Allaah is greedy, and His Hands are shackled." And the like of His Statement: "And the heavens will be rolled up in His Right Hand", and what resembles this from the Qur'aan and hadeeths, we do not add to them, nor do we explain them away, and we stop upon what the Qur'aan and the Sunnah stop upon. We say: "ar-Rahmaan has ascended above His Throne. And whoever alleges other than this, then he is a lying Jahmee! [Mufassalul I'tiqaad (p. 6). Mukhtasirul Uloow (no. 207)]
