Removing the socks nullifies the ability to wipe over it thereafter; however it does not nullify the wudhoo’. Hence, whoever makes wudhoo’ and wipes over his socks then removes them, his wudhoo’ remains valid. Removing the socks nullifies the ability to wipe over it thereafter if one intends to put them back one without washing his feet.
