Benefit: The Doubt - We Should Spread Knowledge But Not Speak About Refutation

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Some of the people claim saying, "we should encourage the students to seek knowledge but we shouldn't speak about the issues of refutation, misguidance and deviation…when we encourage them to seek knowledge then they will be able to determine this (falsehood)." This doubt is prevalent today, used by those who know that the Salafī will not accept the idea of being silent about ahl al-bidʿah outright; so smartly, the unscrupulous one tries to convince them that we can simply spread knowledge and the falsehood will become clear (a ploy to prevent the dissemination of knowledge-based refutation). Shaykh ʿUbayd al-Jābirī answers this doubt clearly. Narrated by Abū ʿIyāḍ Amjad Rafīq.

  Abū ʿIyāḍ Amjad Rafīq

The exceptional book "Sharḥ al-Uṣūl al-Sittah" [شرح الأصول الستة] is a short treatise outlining six great and mighty principles of the dīn of Islām through which the errors of extremists of all kinds are made plain. These six principles comprise: a) sincerity in worship, b) obligation of unity, c) giving obedience to those in authority, d) knowledge of the true scholars of the religion, e) knowledge of the true awliyaa (friends) of Allāh and f)  recognizing and repelling a doubt related to a person's ability in following the Book and the Sunnnah.

Class: Explanation of the Four Principles (القواعد الأربع)

  Abū ʿIyāḍ Amjad Rafīq

A highly beneficial class that took place with Ustādh Amjad Rafīq in 2014/2015. Al-Qawāʾid al-Arbaʿ (The Four Principles) is the outstanding treatise by the illustrious Imām, Muḥammad ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb (raḥimahullāh). The noble brother utilised the explanation of six scholars in a weekly lesson that took place at TROID (online) over approximately half a year.

How to Nurture Children upon the Prophetic Sunnah

  Abū ʿIyāḍ Amjad Rafīq

An amazing, powerful, must-listen talk about parents and children. Fear Allāh concerning your parents and fear Allāh concerning your children! Our brother relays examples of the Prophets and those that followed them; their concern of wanting righteous offspring, and the importance of asking and making duʿāʾ to Allāh to bless us with righteous children, importance of selecting a pious spouse, choosing righteous wholesome names and protecting the Fiṭrah of the child.

In What State Will You Die?

  Amjad Rafīq

The question we should be asking ourselves every second of our lives; none knows the answer to it except Allāh. May He allow us to die in a state of al-Islām.

  Amjad Rafīq

A sermon on al-Ikhlās (sincerity), a condition for Allāh's acceptance of one's actions.

  Amjad Rafīq

How many of us need to start regretting our evils deeds and turn back in repentance to our Lord, the Most High?

The Concern for Tawḥīd in Relation to Rectification of the Ummah: Groups That Deviated From This

  Abū ʿIyāḍ Amjad Rafīq

The second of three talks from the set entitled: The Concern for Tawḥīd in Relation to Rectification of the Ummah (Islām in Our Times, April '07 - Toronto, Canada). In this segment, Abū ʿIyāḍ identifies various groups and sects of Islām, and how most, if not all of them were influenced by the Kuffar in their methodology of supposed 'rectification' and the calamitous result of their straying from the Prophetic Methodology. From the sects examined: The Khawārij, the Murjiʿah, the Ikhwān al-Muslimūn (including Sayyid Qutb), the Muʿtazilah, the Shīʿah and the Qadariyyah.
