In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy
In a lecture delivered in July 2007 as part of the first Islamic Summer Courses with Mūsá Richardson ('Aqīdah Course, Class 7 of 12), some discussion was made on the "Beliefs of the Nation of Islām." This audio was excerpted and made available on troid.ca as From the Beliefs of the 'Nation of Islām'
and published online on the 17th of Oct. 2007. During this discourse, while clearly identifying their disbelief, the speaker refrained from applying the ruling of takfīr to the NOI specifically. Our beloved brother, Abū al-ʿAbbās Mūsá Richardson
clarifies this mistake by mentioning what has reached him of good advice and correction including the speech of Scholars who have made takfīr of the NOI (Nation of Islām) noting importantly, that they are not those who ever were within the realm of Islām to begin with (i.e. their origin is disbelief).Extracted from the Explanation of Masaa'il al-Jāhiliyyah Class Audio
Abū al-ʿAbbās Mūsá Richardson
A brief overview of the creed of the 'Nation of Islām' (based on their own declarations), an African American movement that ascribes itself to Islām.
An excellent explanation of the Islamic position on racism. An Important observation in light of various groups such as “The Nation of Islām” (disbelivers and non-Muslims), and their various offshoots such as the Ansārullāh, the Moorish American Science Temple and the 5%ers.
