Bismillaah, wal-hamdulilaah, was-ṣalātu was-salāmu 'alaa rasoolillaah, wa ba'd

As Salaam 'Alaykum wa Rahmatullaahi wa Barakatuh,

The following is an important note to the one who is concerned for his deen [especially in the Toronto area], the one concerned for the Sunnah, someone who wishes to align him/her self with Scholars of Islām and their Students and to be free and far removed from misguidance, partisanship and opposition to the truth and its people.

Beware of the following conf.

We advise our brothers/sisters who may have been invited to the aforementioned programme to weigh upon the scales of correctness and uprightness; their speakers, their affiliations and their statements. Without a doubt, if one can do this, without emotional attachment, without favouritism and bias, it will become clear that these individuals feign the manhaj of the Salaf but in reality are from the opponents of Salafiyyah and many who emanate from them end up upon the same conclusion.

Take note 'O Sunnee!

An Important lecture and foundational understanding of who/how to take knowledge from an individual
______________________________________

Be Careful Who You Take Your Deen From!
Friday, 14 December 2007
Shaykh Aḥmad Ibn 'Umar Bazmool

A lecture based upon the famous statement of Muhammad Ibn Sereen: "This knowledge is a matter of deen, so be careful who you take your deen from."

Review:

Due to the weakness in the Ummah and lack of comprehension of the pure Islamic methodology, it is common in our time that an ignorant person is taken as a person of knowledge, and that an ignorant person assumes the role and responsibility of a speaker and caller to Islām. Despite the mountain of statements from the Salaf, the likes of al-Laalikaaee, al-Barabahaaree, Aḥmad Ibn Hanbal, Ibn Sireen and so on imploring the Muslims to stick to the Scholars, the people of sunnah (the jama'aah) and to stay away from doubtful matters.

So before seeking to sit in a gathering, have you asked yourself:
- Is this person known to the scholars or their students?
- Does he have tazkiyaat of any sort?
- Who are his companions (from whom does he sit with)?
- Does he frequent the gatherings of Ahl al-Sunnah, their masaajid, seminars, lectures etc.?
- What do the people of Sunnah and Salafiyyah in his area say about him?
- Does he cooperate with Ahlul-Bid'ah, their masaajid and programmes (is he here, there and everywhere)?

Do you put up these roadblocks in your mind before setting out to seek knowledge with a man? Seeing that it is from the most important affairs you could ever set out upon...your salvation, your 'aqīdah, your path towards paradise insha'Allaah

Shaykh Aḥmad Bazmool states:

'...This is how important this is, this knowledge is deen, something that he will be raised with on the day of judgment...the Muslim must look and take his deen from Ahl al-Sunnah, as-Salafiyyoon, known for knowledge, being upright and having taqwá'

'Imām Maalik said it is not enough for someone to be a worshipper, and to be known for Zuhd, outward expression of worship, that you take from them...but they did not take from them because that was not their affair (knowledge), they were worshippers that's all. In this time we see someone who has a lihyah (beard), his thobe above his ankles and he is then the muftee of his area, this is a mistake!'

'It is forbidden for the one who is asked and doesn't know, to answer. Likewise it is haraam for the one to ask one who doesn't know...he has to ask the scholar...if you had a medical situation, would we go to a mechanic? And if we had a problem with our car, would we go to a farmer...no we would go to each individual who is a specialist in their field...so when it comes to the issue of deen, we must go to the scholars, it is not right to ask (just) anybody or do what everyone else is doing.'

''Abū Dardaa' went to the masjid one day (in the time of the tabi’een) and he observed the people praying differently than according to the Sunnah, so he came home angry and his wife (Ummudh-Dardaa') asked him what has made you angry? He said, 'By Allaah I don't see anything from the time of the Prophet (ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam) except praying together (meaning that they had abandoned much of the Sunnah). This is his statement whilst he was close to the time of the Messenger (ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam). So what about know? 1400 years after that, are general masses upon Sunnah? Are the general masses upon knowledge? No! Rather we should follow the scholars!'

From the other points discussed:

An Important point is made about leaving off taking knowledge even from the one who speaks with the 'Aqīdah of Ahl al-Sunnah yet he has hizbiyyah with him or Surooriyyah with him (i.e. someone simply speaking with the haqq doesn't make him a person of knowledge or a person to sit with)
The corrupt principle of 'taking the good/leaving the bad', making oneself a private investigator into the affairs of many people of many different beliefs and then appointing oneself as the criterion between what to take and what to leave (not realising that he, himself, is ignorant, he can't protect himself from this fitnah and this isn't from the manhaj of Ahl al-Sunnah to sit with Ahlul-Bid'ah in this regard)

Bismillaah,

Many hide behind the slogan 'we were not advised', although it is the case that these individual have been advised with kindness and ease, it isn't a condition in of itself that one be advised if publically their affiliations are to people of bid'ah or hizbiyyah:

Shaykh Zayd Al Madkhali was asked:

Is it a condition to advise before warning? So the Shaykh may Allah preserve him said: Warning is advice, warning from carrying out Haraam and warning from carrying out Bidah (innovations) in all of its forms from all that which apposes (the Sunnah) is advice to the people, so there is no difference between warning from that which is Haraam and its different forms and advice.

More information for the truthseeker in regards to Said Regeah/al-Maghrib Institute and the reality of thier manhaj. Clearly not a manhaj of Salafiyyah but rather a melting pot of the methodology of qutbiyyah/ikhwaaniyyah and a very possible bridge towards extremism.

Take a look at the following praise from one of the custodians of al-Maghrib for the deviant, blood-thirsty kharajee Anwar al-Awlaki:

Saed Rageah: officially listed as a speaker on the al-maghrib ins. website

So this is an organisation Rageah proudly lectures with....surely the claim to salafiyyah he and some of his close followers make is aparently untrue. So Regeah affiliates with and promotes al-Maghrib whilst al-Maghrib dreams of Anwar al-Awlaki and what does Awlaki think of the revolutionist and most famous deviant of the last century, the infamous Sayyid Qutb?

For those who do not know who Sayyid Qutb is or what he promoted, please see the following: www.salafipublications.com/sps/sp.cfm?se...isplaysubsection.cfm

So this should be sufficient for the truthseeker. Brothers/Sisters - examine the details and the proofs and you will see the purity of Ahl al-Sunnah as-Salafiyyeen as oppossed to the manhaj of Rageah, Maghrib etc.

As for the one who loves him/them for the sake of:

hizbiyyah for his group
Khomiyyah (nationalism) for one's people
Qabeeliyyah (tribalism) for one's tribe
blind infatuation and undying love for a speaker and what one has learnt from him

then for those, we ask Allaah to guide them for they have been blinded and the criterion between right/wrong has become skewed for them.
