\" Shaykh 'Uthaymīn's notes on 'Aqeedatul-Wasitiyyah' \" published by Purification and Development Publishing and Distribution and translated by Shakiel Humayun
has the following error:
All the ayat (verses) regarding Istawa (the Rising of Allaah above the Throne) have been translated incorrectly. e.g. on pg. 115:
[Taken \"word for word\" from pg.115]
\"It is He who created the heavens and earth in six days and the established Himself above the throne.\" (Al-Hadid 57:4)
The translation found in the Noble Quran translation is as follows:
He it is Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then Istawâ (rose over) the Throne (in a manner that suits His Majesty). He knows what goes into the earth and what comes forth from it, what descends from the heaven and what ascends thereto. And He is with you (by His Knowledge) wheresoever you may be. And Allâh is the All-Seer of what you do. (Al-Hadid 57:4)
