Our noble brother, Tahrib al-Dawsiri (may Allāh preserve him) gives a phenomenal lecture titled "Reason for Being Firm Upon the Dīn". Allah has not created anything except for a reason, and with wisdom. Everything that Allāh created has been created for a great purpose. If a person knew the wisdom behind everything single little things created, then he would have been the creator, and we know that that is impossible. It is obligatory that we believe in the perfect wisdom of Allāh. He did not leave us without knowing our purpose. Allāh has been so merciful to us that He explained the purpose of our creation and our ultimate goal.

Allāh says in Sūrah al-Dhāriyāt (51:56),

وَمَا خَلَقْتُ الْجِنَّ وَالْإِنسَ إِلَّا لِيَعْبُدُونِ
"And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me..

The Shaykh gave several examples regarding the creation of Allāh. Why do we pray 5 prayers? Do we know what the wisdom is? Why is it not 10? This is only known to Allah! Why is maghrib 3 rakaʿāt, ʿishāʾ four rakaʿāt, and fajr two rakʿāt? This is knowledge only known to Allah. Furthermore, did Allāh create the human eye for eating? Did Allāh create the ear for drinking? In fact, if a person were to try to use the eye or ear for other than its purpose, he/she would be considered majnūn. Similarly, Allāh has created the human body in its entirety to worship Him alone. Therefore, a person who uses his/her body for other than the worship of Allāh is like that one who uses his/her body for other than its intended purpose.
