Explanation of the Ḥadīth of Kaʿb ibn Mālik
Our noble brother Abū Muḥammad al-Maghribī (ḥafiẓahullāh) goes through the great ḥadīth of Kaʿb ibn Mālik (raḍī Allāhu ʿanhu), outlining this noble Companion’s truthfulness to Allāh and His Messenger, and the compliance and acceptance of his boycotting and separation from his wife with the utmost of patience. Abū Muḥammad al-Maghribī includes benefits from the explanation of the ḥadith by Shaykh Muḥammad ibn Ṣalīh al-ʿUthaymīn (raḥimahullāh) in ‘Sharḥ Riyāḍ al-Ṣāliḥīn’ of Imām al-Nawawī Vol. 1, ‘Chapter of Ṣidq’ (truthfulness), along with commentary from ‘Fat‘ḥ al-Bārī’, which is the…

The Evil Effects of Zināʾ
The Shaykh, may Allāh bless him, depicts the many dangers surrounding the Muslim today, through media as well as other means, and how each of them lead one closer to shameless behaviour. Upon each Muslim is to strive to protect himself from fornication through avoiding all of its avenues. Whether that be not lowering ones gaze, or sisters not properly observing jilbāb. A community is only preserved when they keep themselves chaste, and thereafter devote themselves to Allāh subḥānahū wa taʿāla.

The Three Souls
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا ادْخُلُوا فِي السِّلْمِ كَافَّةً
O you who believe! Enter perfectly in Islām (by obeying all the rules and regulations of the Islamic religion)
[Al-Baqarāh, 2:28]
Ibn Qayyim has mentioned that the heart is of three types:
Hearts that are sound in ʿAqīdah free from the things that have been dispraised (by Allāh and His Messenger)
The dead heart – this heart has no īmān or Taqwá
The sick heart – not fully dead or sound:
This heart leans towards either the sound heart or the dead heart. The one with this heart should cure itself by fighting his desires…

The Obligation of Obeying the Messenger of Allāh
O Mankind! Indeed Allāh has sent the Messenger Muḥammad (ﷺ) as a bearer of glad tidings to those who obey him in his message of a great reward, and as a warner to those who oppose his message and go against what he has been sent with by way of the message of severe punishment. Allāh sent His messenger with a manhaj (methodology) which is straight and bears no crookedness; he was sent during a period in which there was neither a messenger nor any guidance present, but rather it was a time where idolatry, injustice and promiscuity were prevalent, where the women had no rights, and the…

The Clear Understanding of the Salafī Daʿwah
The Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: Whoever invents something into this religion that which is not from it, it is rejected.
He (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) also said: Whoever desires a sunnah other than the sunnah of ours, is not from amongst us.
[Q]: Is it permissible for the people to argue with those who say “we are Salafῑ?”
Here are some points from the detailed answer:
They (the Salafῑ’s) try to adhere and remain upright upon the truth
They try to rid the innovations in the religion
They are the most concerned with the authenticity of the ahādith
Th…

Good Companionship vs. Bad Companionship
O Muslims! Fear Allāh and look to whom you befriend, for indeed a man is upon the religion of his friend, so look to whom you take as your close companions. Indeed our noble Messenger advised and informed us,
‘The example of a good companion and a bad companion is like that of the seller of musk, and the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows. So as for the seller of musk then either he will grant you some, or you buy some from him, or at least you enjoy a pleasant smell from him. As for the one who blows the blacksmith’s bellows then either he will burn your clothes or you will get an off…

The Methodology of the Prophet in Calling to Allāh
The Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) blocked many ways that could lead to shirk. His methodology with regards to shirk was to destroy its source, to cut any path that leads to it, blocking any of its means, and dealing with it from its source. This is shown by his guidance and his Sunnah. The Prophet warned his nation from shirk and had great concern for calling to tawḥīd.
Narrated by Jābir: The Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: He who meets Allāh not associating partners to Him will enter the Paradise. And he who meets him associating partners to Him will enter th…

There Does Not Exist an Innovator Except That He Hates Ahl al-Ḥadīth
The people of the sunnah are distinguished by adhering to the narrations, clinging onto the athār of the salaf. It is well known that salvation lies by holding on to the texts of what has been revealed by our Lord and his Messengers. Ahl al- Sunnah do not differ regarding the uṣūl in the religion; we are connected by the fundamentals. Ahl al-Sunnah base their manhaj and ʿAqīdah upon an ʿaṣl that is firm, an ʿaṣl that is qawī, the Kitāb, the Sunnah and the fahm (understanding) of the Salaf of this Ummah!
Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymīyyah said (paraphrased):
“Ahl al-bidʿah is coupled&nb…
