Paying Money to a Wikālah (Representative) for Zakāt al-Fiṭr
It is important to note that these fatāwá are referring specifically to Zakāt al-Fiṭr being discharged in the form of money to the poor people. It does not address the issue of someone paying another person to buy food for him and distribute it as food. In this case, a person has actually distributed his Zakāt al-Fiṭr in food; just through a representative (called wikālah), which is permissible.
Shaykh Mūsá Richardson[Q]: It’s known that disbursing Zākat al-Fiṭr in form of money is impermissible and the fataawa of Ahlul Ilm in this case are many. But is it permissible if I g…

Fabricated Ḥadīth: “Learn Knowledge, For Learning It Is a Type of Khashyah (Fear)…”
That ḥadīth is mawḍūʿ’ [fabricated], however its meaning (in general) is nice. Ibn ʿAbd al-Barr said after mentioning it, ‘This ḥadīth is ḥasan jiddan (very ḥasan), but it does not have a strong chain.’ So when he said ḥasan, he was using the linguistic meaning [nice, fine], referring to the meaning, and not the technical meaning the scholars of ḥadīth use [acceptable, authentic].
Shaykh Mūsá Richardson
Quote:
Muʿādh ibn Jabal (Radi Allāhu Ta’ala ʿanhu) stated that the Messenger of Allāh (Salla Allāhu ‘alahi wa Sallam) said in a Khuṭbah: “Learn Al-ʿIlm (knowledge), for learning i…

Using Zakāh Money to Finish a Masjid?
It may only be distributed to the eight kinds of recipients that are mentioned in the verse in Sūrah al-Tawbah [v.60]
Al-ʿAllāmah ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn Bāz[Q]: What is the ruling on using Zakāh money to finish building a masjid that is almost completed, and its construction may be halted (due to lack of funding)?
[A]: What is well-known to the scholars, and it is the position of the vast majority of them, so it can be considered like ijmāʿ’ (a scholarly consensus) of the scholars of the early al-Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ, is that Zakāh is not to be used for building masjids, buying…

Comfort Yourself (When Backbitten) with the Wisdom of the Salaf
In the Name of Allāh, the Most Merciful, may His Ṣalāh and Salām be upon His last Messenger to all of mankind, to proceed.1
ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Mahdī (raḥimahullāh), the Imām, the Ḥujjah, said:
If I did not hate that Allāh be disobeyed, I would have wished that there was no one left in the whole city except that he has backbitten me! What is more rewarding than a man finding a good deed (written) in his book for something he did not even do?!2
Imām ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Maḥdī
May Allāh grant us something of the sincerity and patience that our Salaf exemplified!
“If I did not hate that A…

The Way to Escape Fitnah
“…I heard Shaykh so and so said such and such…but akhī fulān from down the street told me this and that…how come there is a refutation of that one…when there is a tazkiyah for him from such and such…but the Scholars are the inheritors of the Prophets brother…c’mon akhī, the Scholars don’t know our situation!…How about the clear refutation of so and so’s mistakes….ukhtee, refutation is but ijtihad (opinion) taken or rejected…”

Shaykh Ḥasan al-Ṣumālī
We Are Brothers!
Allāh, the Majestic mentioned in his Noble Qurʾān, The believers are nothing else than brothers. So make reconciliation between your brothers, and fear Allāh, that you may receive mercy. (al-Ḥujurāt 49:10) “Brotherhood is more precious than anything on the earth…who said so Rabb al-ʿAlamīn….
And He has united their (i.e. believers’) hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have united their hearts, but Allāh has united them. Certainly He is All-Mighty, All-Wise. (Al-Anfāl 8:63) ..if we recognise that brotherhood is this precious, then we must be ready to…

Q&A Concerning Modern-Day Callers & Groups and the Tricks They Employ
[Q1]: According to the Ashʾarī Ṣūfī, Nūḥ Haa Mīm Keller, “These books (i.e. al-Ibānah ‘an Uṣūl ad-Diyaanah) of Abū al-Ḥasan Ashʿarī are not to be counted (his retraction from the Ashʿarī/Kullābī ʿAqīdah) as they were enacted under duress and pressure from those upon the ʿAqīdah of Imām Aḥmad Ibn Ḥanbal” What do Ahl al-Sunnah say about this?
[Q2]: Often when we warn against the people of bidʿah, people will say “you shouldn’t speak against them without advising them….and you shouldn’t mention names because it makes fitnah” what is the detailed understanding of this?
