[The following is a post that was produced by a brother, in response to the articles posted by ASFA claiming that Shaykh al Islām Ibn Taymīyyah supported some Ṣūfī practices.]

The Āḥād Narration
Likewise, the Messenger (ﷺ) used to believe his Companions in what they informed him of, and likewise, the Companions used to believe each other with regards to what they would narrate from Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ).

“Relate from me even if it is one āyah and report from the Children of Isrāʿīl and there is no problem. And whoever lies upon me, then let him take his seat in the Fire.”2
[2] ʿAbdullāh Ibn al Mubārak said: “The isnād (chain of narrators for ḥadīth) is from the Religion.”
Through another chain of narrator…

A Study of the Ḥadīth, ‘May Allāh Brighten the Man’
May Allāh brighten the man who heard a ḥadīth from us, memorized it and then conveys it just as he heard it, for perhaps the one who carries fiqh is not a faqīh (one who understands), and perhaps he passes it on with the fiqh to one who is better than him in understanding.

Beacons Along the Path
Whosoever learns knowledge by which is to be sought the Face of Allāh, but he does not do so except to acquire the goal of this world, he will not smell the odour of Paradise upon the Day of Resurrection.
The Miser and the Fortunate One
Abū Hurayrah (raḍī Allāhu ʿanhu) relates that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: “That person is a miser who, when I am mentioned to him, does not send ṣalāt upon me.”1
Anas Ibn Mālik (raḍī Allāhu ʿanhu) said that the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) said: “Whosoever sends ṣalāt upon me once. Allāh will send ṣalāt upon him ten times, omit from him ten evils…
