“Knowledge is a ḥujjah [evidence] for you or a ḥujjah against you. The Qurʾān will either by an evidence for you or evidence against you on Yawm al-Qiyyammah.”

By al-ʿAṣr (the time). Verily! Man is in loss, Except those who believe (in Islamic Monotheism) and do righteous good deeds, and recommend one another to the truth (i.e. order one another to perform all kinds of good deeds (Al-Ma'roof) which Allāh has ordained, and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds (Al-Munkar)which Alāh has forbidden), and recommend one another to patience (for the sufferings, harms, and injuries which one may encounter in Allāh's Cause during preaching His religion of Islamic Monotheism or Jihād, etc.).
[Sūrah al-ʿAṣr]

Quotes from the Lecture:

“Knowledge is a Hujjah (evidence) for you or a Hujjah (evidence) against you. The Qurʾān will either by an evidence for you or evidence against you on Youmul-Kiyyammah.”

“Patience is keeping oneself upon the obedience of Allāh, refraining from the disobedience of Allāh and accepting the Qadr (decree) of Allāh.”
