From the greatest scholars of the Ummah in the last century was al-‘Allāmah al-Shakyh ‘Abd al-‘Azīz ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn Bāz rahimahullāh. His firmly-grounded knowledge of the religion, wisdom, and piety were characteristics which made him recognized by Muslims internationally. A collection of his rulings, al-Majmu’ al-Fatāwá, is an outstanding example of these aforementioned characteristics. The issue of sins and forgiveness is one of great importance in the ‘Aqīdah of the Muslims. Many groups of innovation have went astray in this affair.
