A heartfelt reminder to remain steadfast upon a path of sincerity, seeking out Allāh in worship including repentance, remembrance and righteous deeds. The khuṭbah at Masjid al-Furqān (TROID), 2022/06/17.
A short series on the ill effects of sins which distance the servant from his Lord, increase loneliness, malcontentedness, worldly obsessions and prevention from knowledge. Overall, a glum, gloomy outlook on life.
The callers to innovation in this day falsely claim that the People of Sunnah are harsh-hearted and shadīd (severe). A look at the position of the Imams of the Salaf towards innovation and its callers. Compare and contrast.
In some of the local masājid, they’ll teach from the books of the salaf, for example, Ṣifah Ṣalāt al-NabĪ, they will praise Shaykh al-Albani, however, they also praise and host figureheads of the various Muslim Brotherhood inspired organisations. Is it correct to suggest these masājid are “closer…
An oral conversation of the book: The Journey of the Strangers of al-Ḥāfidh ibn Rajab al-Ḥanbali. A description of “the strangers”, their characteristics, trials and virtues, from the 2nd Annual Imām Layth ibn Saʿd Conference (2019) entitled: Being Muslim in Our Time.
A lecture based upon the question, “Some of the people make tabdīʿ of some of the Aʾimmah such as Ibn Ḥajr, al-Nawawī, Ibn Ḥazm, al-Shawkānī and al-Bayhaqī and other than them, saying that it is not permissible to read their books. There are even stories of them burning their books, is this correct?”

mentorship of his elders. From the Canada Webinar Series: Addressing Anxiety and Grief with the Contentedness of Allāh’s Bounties
The speaker discusses the custody of a child when a woman remarries a direct male relative of her ex-husband. This benefit also touches on the wisdom of child custody laws in Islām and why the custody could transfer to the child’s father if she remarries a non-relative of the child.
The speaker answers a question from a boy who enquires about a wet-nurse who may be maḥram to her child or not, the knowledge of this being relayed on her deathbed without full clarity. He wished to know what happens in such a complex situation. Another example of why it is unwise to tell boys and girls “don’t ask about these things” when they are capable of comprehending the reality of situations. In broader society they are being taught or exposed to vulgar interpretations of intimacy and sexuality and incorrect understandings of rights and relationships.
