Benefit: Do Not Neglect Seeking Knowledge!

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ ibn ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Āl al-Shaykh (حفظه الله) stated: “Do not neglect seeking knowledge claiming the scholars are abundant, for a day may come when people may look to you for information about Allāh’s religion.”

Benefit: What Exactly Is Harshness?

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muqbil ibn Hādī al-Wādiʿī (رحمه الله) said: “Harshness is to forbid people from something Allāh himself has not forbidden them from, or it is to mandate something Allāh himself has not mandated upon them. This is harshness. As for adhering to the religion, then this is not considered harshness.”

Benefit: Sins are of Two Types

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Dr. Ṣāliḥ ibn Fawzān al-Fawzān (حفظه الله) stated:

Sins are of two types:

  1. major
  2. minor

Allāh taʿalá says:

 (( إن تجتَنِبوا كبائر ما تُنهَون عنه ، نكفِّر عنكم سيِّئاتِكُم ، ونُدخِلكُم مُدخَلًا كريمًا ))
«If you avoid the major sins from which you have been forbidden, We shall pardon your minor sins and admit you to a most noble entrance
[Sūrah al-Nisāʾ, 4:31]

Benefit: Flee to Allah!

In the Name of Allāh, the Ever Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy

Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar Bāzmūl (حفظه الله) stated:

You flee from everything that you fear but Allāh, for you flee to Him if you fear Him. Allāh said:

فَفِرُّوا إِلَى اللَّـهِ ۖ إِنِّي لَكُم مِّنْهُ نَذِيرٌ مُّبِينٌ
“Flee to Allah. Indeed, I am a clear warner to you from Him” [Sūrah al-Dhāriyāt, 51:56].

Al-Fudayl [Ibn ʿIyyāḍ] (رحمه الله) said: "If you fear Allāh, no one will be able to harm you, but if you fear someone else, then no one will be able to aid you."
