Common Manhaj Questions Facing Muslim Youth

Shaykh ʿAbdl Ilāh Lahmāmī

A number of questions presented by some of the youth who attend Masjid al-Furqān (TROID) and focuses on common issues facing young Muslims calling others to the Sunnah.

Questions:

[1]: In the previous Ramaḍān, one of our brothers hafiẓahullāh, he was at Tarāwīḥ/taḥajjud in a masjid upon ḥizbiyyah, so this masjid brought a man who is known for his collecting money skills and bringing out the people’s emotions so they can pay large amounts of money to the masjid. So this man said, who will pay five-hundred dollars to the masjid so our brother (hafiẓahullāh) raised his hand and they (the masjid upon ḥizbiyyah) wrote his name down to pay the money. Now that he realized that this is a masjid which is upon ḥizbiyyah and that they bring people who the scholars warn against, also he realized that ahl al-sunnah in his land is more in need of this money, is it still upon him to pay the money?

[2]: Another brother is asking: my brother listens to music because of me in the past (I used to listen to music in the past and introduced him to it) but I have stopped and advised him to stop showing him the consequences of these sinful actions, (so the brother is asking) do I still get the sin if he continues listening to Music?

[3]: We have individuals here in Canada and many other places in the world who criticize the Kingdom of Saudi al-ʿArabīa, and put the Kingdom’s Islām to question, what is your advice for these types of people?

[4]: Do we present to the awām (general people) refutations, even though they might dislike our daʿwah and say that the salafiyyūn, the people of ḥadīth, refute the people too much?

[5]: How do we respond to the people who say that talking about people’s situation will not benefit you at all in the day of judgment so stop the refutations, in a way saying that we should keep away from refutations.

[6]: Last nasīhah and Closing (Advice for the beginner students of Knowledge)?
