Shaykh ʿAbd-al-Salām ibn Burjiss (raḥimahullāh) based the talk on the issue of Tawḥīd and the importance of a Muslim knowing Tawḥīd and the issues surrounding this issue of Tawḥīd. He went on to say that the Muslim becomes aware of the importance of Tawḥīd when he realises that Allāh has sent all of His Messengers and His Books and He caused them to make Jihād for this issue of Tawḥīd. There is not a Prophet, except that that Prophet came to his people and the very first statement that he said to his people was:
Creed Comes First…Without a Doubt!

The Shaykh explains that the cause for Allāh’s goodness and blessing is to affirm the tawḥīd of Allāh and that the root of all evil is shirk with Allāh. He also recounts how this vile act of shirk first appeared in the world.
