Principles Regarding the Salafī Daʿwah

Shaykh Abū Khadījah

An insightful lecture regarding some principles pertaining to the Salafī Daʿwah. One principle mentioned extensively is that the Salafῑ loves the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jamāʿah and the innovator hates the scholars of Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jamāʿah.

Abū ʿĀliyah said: Learn Islām, and once you have learned then act. Do not look to your right or to your left, and beware of innovations, for verily innovations cause enmity between your hearts.

Abū Khadījah mentions narration after narration that explain the Sunnah, warn from innovations, and call to sticking to the scholars that are well known to be from Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jamāʿah, and to stay away from those who are not known to be from them.

The Salafῑs are one Jamāʿah, the Jamāʿah of the Companions, which we adhere to, and within this there are no factions, and no parties. Our scholars are the ones that unite Ahl al-Sunnah wa-al-Jamāʿah, they are the Jamāʿah. Anyone who has an alliance with the scholars then they are also al-Jamāʿah.

We love and stick to the Scholars, as īmām al-Ṣābūnī said:
One of the distinguishing signs of Aḥl al-Sunnah is their love for the leaders of the Sunnah, its scholars, its helpers, and its close allies, and their hatred for the leaders of innovation who call to the hellfire.
