The Methodology of the Prophet in Calling to Allāh
Shaykh Abū ʿUways
The Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) blocked many ways that could lead to shirk. His methodology with regards to shirk was to destroy its source, to cut any path that leads to it, blocking any of its means, and dealing with it from its source. This is shown by his guidance and his Sunnah. The Prophet warned his nation from shirk and had great concern for calling to tawḥīd.
Narrated by Jābir: The Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: He who meets Allāh not associating partners to Him will enter the Paradise. And he who meets him associating partners to Him will enter the Hellfire.
Tawḥīd leads to Paradise; believing, actualising and implementing the oneness of Allāh leads to Paradise. Shirk leads to the Hellfire; believing, actualising and implementing shirk leads to the Hellfire.
