A firm advice from the Imām of al-Jarḥ wa-al-Taʿdīl in our times, al-ʿAllāmah Rabīʿ ibn Hādī al-Madkhalī. The lecture is from a Toronto phone lecture with the noble shaykh, conducted on 6th September 2003. Shaykh Rabīʿ advises the attendees to attach themselves to the Salaf al-Ṣāliḥ, mentioning many āyāt and aḥādīth on the nobility and salvation of attaching oneself to the rightly-guided Salaf. The shaykh clearly explains how differing from this path leads to division, destruction and misguidance, whereas, holding onto the rope of Allāh, following and obeying Allāh and his Messenger will result in unity, piety and a great success in this life and the next.
