A detailed overview of the pure ʿAqīdah of Islām. An explanation by the great Scholar from Ethiopia, Shaykh Muḥammad Aamaan al-Jaamee. One who Imām Ibn Bāz praised as ‘A possessors of a sound ʿaqīdah’.
This two-tape set produces countless knowledge-filled points clarifying the ʿAqīdah of Islām. The Shaykh brings Verses from the Qurʾān, Aḥadīth from the Messenger of Allāh (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), narrations from the Companions of the Messenger (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam), statements from the Salaf and quotes from the Imāms of Ahl al-Sunnah wal Jamāʿah.
From amongst the topics discussed:
The Fitraa (Natural Disposition)
Shaykh Muḥammad stated, ‘Practising a Dīn is a natural disposition of a Human being… Allāh created the worshippers upon Tawḥīd’. ‘All people are born upon the Fitraa (natural disposition)’. The Shaykh mentions that ‘All Humans have a dīn (way of life) from the Hindus to the fire worshippers’. ‘If you mentioned to one who was raised with animals, Where is Allāh? He would know his fitraa’. ‘If one were to lose his camel, he would point to the sky and ask his Lord’. He states the famous Ḥadīth of the Slave-girl who knew her Fitraa when asked ‘Where is Allāh?’ ‘When one faces sever problems, one automatically turns to his Lord, his fitraa, not right nor left but to his Lord and this is a proof of Allāh’. He states ‘Allāh would not have sent down his Messengers or his books for no reason’.
The Shahadah (Testimony of Faith) and The meaning of ʿĪbādah (Worship)
The Shaykh goes on to underline the importance of knowing the meaning of the Shahadaah; ‘The meaning of Worship to most of the Muslims is the pillars but the reality of the Worship is the ultimate humility along with the ultimate love for Allāh’.
From the Questions:
[Q] Our Youth are upon different ways and the people of confusion are plentiful. Some of the Duʿāʾt (callers) have doubts in regards to teaching ʿAqīdah because it divides the Muslims. What should we do?
[A] Yes, The ʿAqīdah of Islām divides, the ʿAqīdah divides, Islām divides, the Qurʾān divides. Those who do not accept this do not accept the creed of Islām. With what will we fight our enemies with if we do not know pure Tawḥīd and the correct ʿAqīdah? Are you just satisfied with the label of Muslim? Will you unite the people with this? This is impossible. As for the one who doesn’t command with al-Wʿalá wal baraa (allegiance and enmity in Creed), he wants to unite the people, Shīʿī, Sunnee, Mubtadee, he needs to study the Dīn. This is an annihilation of Islām!
Those who wish to call to a group, this principle of studying the ʿAqīdah does not satisfy them. Leaving off ʿAqīdah brings weakness, separation and innovation to the Ummah. Do not allow this misconduct, the Tawfīq is with Allāh!
