Why a Student May Leave Seeking Knowledge

Shaykh Mūsá Richardson

A discussion on false piety, a trick from the Shayṭān. Seeking knowledge continuously purifies the student as he learns and learns and learns. Are not the most pious of people the scholars of Islām? The constant admonishments about sincerity, fearing Allāh, crack bad habits and bad intentions. So if the devil cannot get him to turn to major sins and innovations, he whispers to him about his intentions. Ustādh Mūsá also discusses the sad reality that as a society, we respect, value and follow those who have high levels of secular education, much more than Islamic scholars and teachers.
