The noble scholar and former muftī of Saudi Arabia, Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Ibn ʿAbdullāh Ibn Bāz speaks on a recorded cassette that was distributed in the West to propagate understanding of the basics of Islām.
In this lecture the Imām ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz Ibn ʿAbdullāh Ibn Bāz (raḥimahullāh) starts by mentioning that the religion of all the Messengers was Islām and how they were all sent to convey the same message ‘Tawḥīd’ (Monotheism). The Shaykh then continues to explain the definition of Islām, Tawḥīd, and how all the Messengers forbade and warned their people from associating partners with Allāh. This is an important lecture for Muslims and Non-Muslims alike to understand the true meaning of Islām and a reminder for all of us that Islām is the only religion with Allāh, as Allāh says in the Qur’an:
وَمَن يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا فَلَن يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ ﴿٨٥﴾
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islām, it will never be accepted of him, and in the Hereafter he will be one of the losers.”
[Ālī ʿImrān 3:85]
May Allāh guide us all and keep our hearts firm upon Tawḥīd.
