Clinging to the Sunnah Until Death
Shaykh ʿAbd al-Salām ibn Burjiss
A nice lecture by the late shaykh (from Riyadh, KSA), Shaykh ʿAbd al-Salām Ibn Burjiss (raḥimahullāh). The lecture hits close to one’s heart considering that the beloved speaker spoke about the importance of adherence to the Sunnah, a sign of the sincere believer, holding on firmly to this blessed manhaj, not knowing when death will reach a person. Our shaykh returned back to Allāh just a few years after this talk, whilst he was still young (38 yrs old), may Allāh have mercy upon him. The translation is done by Abū Ṭalhah Dāwūd Burbank (raḥimhahullāh) of Salafī Publications.
An extremely important lecture based on one of the fundamentals of the religion; the Sunnah. Shaykh ʿAbd al-Salām ibn Burjiss (raḥimahullāh) explains the importance of following the sunnah in all matters of our life, whether it is in our religious affairs or in our worldly affairs and to not follow one’s desires or the views of the people. The Shaykh mentions many aḥādīth and āyāt talking about the virtues of the one who follows the Sunnah and he reminds us that the ones who will reach the final goal (Paradise) are those who strive and firmly cling to the sunnah of the Messenger (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam).
