The Islamic Ruling on Killing Women and Children in Battle and the Obligation to Avoid the Mistakes of Some Scholars

The lecturer explains, using Islamic texts, how this is entirely unlegislated in Islām. Rather, it is the devious plot to follow up the mistakes of a scholar or the bloodthirsty cries of deviant groups (such as the Muslim Brotherhood) who seek revenge not justice, behaving contrary to the Prophet Muḥammad (ﷺ). Also recommended is the article, The Reality of al-Harakah al-Shabaab al-Mujāhidīn in Somalia.

Community Cohesion from an Islamic Perspective

Muslims in the West find themselves in a pluralistic society made up of individuals of different races, ethnicities, and religions. It should be of no surprise that Islam has established definite and clear guidelines on how to co-exist with people of different persuasions and opinions. Shaykh Ḥasan al-Ṣūmālī

The Creed of the Four Imams

The speaker touches on several points related to the topic, such as the difference between Fiqh and ʿAqīdah , following Madhaahib (schools of thought), lawful and unlawful Taqlīd (blind-following), the principle of Mālik ibn Anas in affirming the Names and Attributes of Allāh, and the position of Abū Ḥanīfah with regards to the belief that actions are not a part of īmān. Recommending reading: The Creed of the Four Imāms

Voting, Democracy, the Ikhwānī Manhaj, and Walīd Basyouni, VP of al-Maghrib Institute

Walīd Basyouni’s endorsement for Muslims to vote for Barack Obama, his claim that Shaykh Ibn Bāz, Shaykh al-ʿUthaymīn (raḥimahumallāh) and Yusuf Qaradawi (Ikhwani Figurehead!?) and all Fiqh Councils endorse electoral voting and that Muslims practise their “political rights”. He calls it “spreading good” (did he not witness what happened in Egypt the last two years and the collapse of Qaradawi’s beloved Muslim Brotherhood movement?) A refutation of the democratic system, the ruling of the people by the people is discussed and weighed against the scale of the Qurʾān and Sunnah. Democracy is …

Explanation of Kashf al-Shubuhāt

A great discussion-based explanation of affairs related to essential matters of tāwḥīd and how the grave-worshippers violate them. A timely review in the face of recent attempts to justify (or minimise the seriousness of) the polytheistic practices of the disbelievers of pre-Islamic Makkah. A great chance to meet up and study an important basic book in the last ten days of Ramaḍān. Note from the teacher: As our scholars remind us, studying important Islamic sciences a little in the last ten days of Ramaḍān, in no way violates or harms your i’tikāf (seclusion in the masjid), nor does it tak…

Saudi Court Moon Sighting Conspiracy Error?

30 minutes of solid foundations to aid our brothers and sisters in understanding this pillar of our Religion according to the Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ), including: Islām is a perfect religion, one of ease that can be practiced by any human being, educated or uneducated. Part of that perfect religion is fasting begun by a moon sighting according to the Book of Allāh. Starting a month is only done by a moon sighting or counting out 30 days according to the Sunnah. The disobedience of those who fast on the 30th of Shaʿbān without a moon sighting, and their INVALID fasting. The logica…
