There are groups that attack other groups, groups that have split away from other groups. There are Islamic organizations calling to a methodology, another organization calling to a different methodology, there is also a difference in focus of various islamic groups. Muslims are fairly united upon the recognition of the fact that the ummah of Muḥammad (ﷺ)- meaning the Islamic nation today is in a state of distress, it is in a state of torment, it is in a state of weakness. Every Muslim or most Muslim organizations have their own idea and methodology with regard to rectification and with r…

It is indeed more powerful against the Shayṭān than iron. Shaykh Muḥammad ibn ʿUmar BazmūlShaykh al-Albānī said: He (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) would spread his left palm upon his left knee and clench all of the fingers of his right hand, point with the finger adjacent to the thumb towards the qiblah and cast his vision towards it.  When he pointed his finger, he would put his thumb upon his middle finger and sometimes he would make a circle with them.  When he raised his finger he would move it, supplicating with it, and he would say: “It is indeed more powerful against the S…

Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day of Resurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoever is removed away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise, he indeed is successful. The life of this world is only the enjoyment of deception (a deceiving thing). [Sūrah Āli-ʿImrān, 3:185] A khuṭbah descriibng the worldly life in opposition to the afterlife: What is the meaning of ‘ad-dunyā’ (worldly life)? The love of this world and its travesty Seeking in the dunyā instead of seeking the hereafter The sacrifice of the Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) for the heraf…

Belief in the Unseen is the foundation for a successful marriage. We come into marriage and we want to fulfill our desires in a halal way because we fear Allāh. Belief in the unseen is the key issue in marriage. It seems like when dealing with each other (the husband with the wife, and the wife with the husband), this īmān goes out the window [meaning the disputes are not referred to the solutions in the Qurʾān and Sunnah]. The Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: A Muslim is one who other Muslims are safe from his hand and tongue. If this applies to the Muslims in general, then what…

Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī was asked: [the following is a transcribed summary tweeted by @abuiyaadsp] [Q]: What is your position, or what do you say, what is your advice concerning the affair of Yahya al Hajūrī.  Indeed we have much youth who follow him and defend him in our Land in London. [A]: The Shaykh responded by saying “This is an issue that I have spoken about previously and I have mentioned the affair and spoken and addressed the affair of Yahyá previously. And we discussed the issue with the hope of clarifying some of these inhirafaat, some of these deviances that perhaps he would…

O you who believe! Fear Allāh as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims. [Sūrah Āli ʿImrān, 3:102] Meaning: Except that you bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped except Allāh, and that Muḥammad is His last Prophet and Messenger (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam). You should have a longing and a desire to die as a Muslim, and for your relatives also. For he who dies upon Kufr (i.e. other than Islām), will reside in the hellfire forever. ʿAbdullāh Ibn Masʿūd (raḍī Allāhu ʿʿʿanhu) said: There are two matters you can be sure of: he who meets Allāh Tabaraka wa taʿālá…

Abū ʿUways (raḥimahullāh) presents a critical look in the mirror concerning the current state of affairs in regards to the brotherhood/sisterhood in our time from a position of well-needed admonition and advice. He (raḥimahullāh) stresses that we must strive our utmost to truly stop the discord between us if we have any hope of building a foundation together and setting a good example for future generations.

Relaying proofs from the Qurʾān and the Sunnah, and mentioning the fitrah of recognizing Allāh’s Highness – as well as the intellect that agrees – Abū ʿUways warned against the kufr (disbelief) of denial of Allāh’s ‘Uloo and the kufr of the deviant statement “Allāh is everywhere.” In truth, Allāh is the Creator, and is separate from His creation, and He is not part of the creation. Nothing can contain Allāh, Tabaraka wa taʿālá. And Abū ʿUways authentically explained the correct meaning of two verses that some people misunderstand, as it concerns this matter. Abū ʿUways said no one has the…
