Imām al-Bukhāri (رحمه الله) said: Narrated by Anas (رضي الله عنه): A man asked the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) concerning the Hour, saying: “When is the Hour?” He replied: “What have you prepared for it?” He said: “Nothing except for the fact that I love Allāh and His Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم).” He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) replied: “You will be with those who you love.” Anas said: “There was nothing that made us happier than the happiness we felt because of the saying of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم): “You will be with those you love.” Anas said: “As I love the Prophet (صلى الله عليه …

[Q]: Firstly, I love you for the sake of Allāh and I ask Allāh to preserve you just as He preserves all of His righteous servants. Here (in France), the French Government is appealing to the Salafis for their cooperation in capturing the Takfirists. In all actuality they are requesting that we work alongside them to catch these individuals. Is this something that the religion of Islām deems permissible or not? May Allāh bless you. If a prohibition reaches you, then refrain from it, and ask not whether it is impermissible or disliked. Let the reader compare the approach to daʿwah of the late Imām of Yemen, Muqbil Ibn Hādī al-Wādiʿī (رحمه الله), in comparison with the likes of Abū Usamah and those whom he praises, who line up alongside people of innovation and ḥizbiyyah, praising them and being silent about their innovation. The words of the scholars speak volumes: From the greatest reasons for the spread of the call of the people of the Sunnah in Yemen is that they distanced themselves from every innovator, and they [did] not care, even if this person [whom they abandoned] had once studied in Dammāj, such as ʿAbdullāh a…

It is permissible, rather, it is obligatory to speak about the people of innovation and to warn against them and their innovation, individually or as a group. [This includes] those from the past as well as the present, from the Khawārij, the Rawāfiḍ, the Jahmiyyah, the Murjī’ah, the Karāmiyyah, and the people of kalām (theological rhetoric) — those who the knowledge of kalām has dragged them to corrupt beliefs like negation of [all of] Allāh’s attributes or some of them. So, it is obligatory to warn against them and their books; likewise, whoever traverses upon their [deviated] methodology …
