Inciting Muslim Youth Towards Jiḥād and Financing Them Without the Permission of the Leaders

Al-ʿAllāmah Ṣāliḥ ibn al-Fawzān

Those who incite and support jiḥādist ideals should firstly be advised, and if they do not repent they should be charged accordingly.

Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Al-Fawzān, a member of The Permanent Committee Of Scholars, Saudi al-ʿArabīa, was asked:

Is it permissible to notify the appropriate authorities of individuals who we know are inciting the youth to go and (fight) Jiḥād and provide them with the funds without the permission of the leaders; What is your advice to these kinds of people?

Answer:
Firstly, they should be advised. If they accept this advice and cease these activities then all praise is due to Allāh. If they do not accept this (advice) then in order to prevent them from harming the Muslims and the Muslim children, those in charge should be informed (of their behaviour) so that they can seize them. This person sends the Muslim children to battlegrounds and to destruction for no purposeful reason and he sits here. It is amazing that some of them deliver sermons where they get over-emotional, and they encourage and send the Muslim children whilst they themselves sit in their houses, eating and drinking. All of this is unacceptable and rejected but this is just an example of their astonishing inconsistency.
