And from these [guidelines] is that the report contraḍīcts explicit passages of the Qurʾān, like the ḥadīth about the length of the dunyā, that it is 7000 years, and that we are in the seventh thousand. This is from the most obvious of lies, since had it been authentic, everyone would know that there can only remain 251 years! Ibn al-Qayyim likely wrote this around the year 749 A Questioner Stated: Al-Ḥākim & al-Tirmidhī ḥadīth concerning jahanamiyyūn (those who go to fire but are Muslim). They will be in it like the extent of this world from the time it was created until the time it end…

The one who finds fault with some of the people of Ḥadīth and the people of the Jamāʿah, that they speak with excessive, loaded words, they are either finding fault with them based on insufficient knowledge or insufficient understanding. As for the first one [insufficient knowledge], then it is that they use as proofs ḍaʿīf or mawdhūʿ narrations, or āthār [reports from other than the Prophet, ﷺ], that are not fit to be used as proofs. As for the second one [insufficient understanding], then it is that they do not understand the authentic narrations. Shaykh al-Islām[Q]: “Isn’t a mawḍūʿ (…

ʿUthmān ibn Khur-rāzād [d.282], one of Imām Al-Nasāʿī’s shuyūkh, said: “The companion of ḥadīth is in need of five things, and if he misses any one of them, then it is a deficiency. He needs: A good intellect; (Uprightness in the) Dīn; Precision; Expertise in the field; While being known to fulfill trusts.” Al-Thahabī mentioned this in Siyar (13/380), and then commented: “I say: Trustworthiness is a part of the Dīn (ie. #5 is included in #2), and precision is included in expertise (ie. #3 is included in #4), so what the hāfith (one who memorizes ḥadīth) needs is to be: A pers…

Sujūd is a rukn (pillar) of the prayer, meaning that if a capable person does not perform it, whether he left it intentionally or unintentionally the prayer would be invalid. If he did not perform a pillar unintentionally (out of forgetfulness for example), then he returns back to that position when he remembers and repeats what came after it in the prayer, completing it fully, and then adds two sajdahs at the end called sajdah al-sahw, prostrations made due to forgetfulness. Shaykh Mūsá RichardsonAl-salāmu ʿAlaykum Shaykh Ibn ʿUthaymīn said: It is not permissible for a worshipper to lift…

Had it not been for Muḥammad, I would not have created you. Rather, Allāh had created Ādam, and all of his decendants, to worship Him as He has made clear in Sūrah al-Dhāriyāt, what means: ‘And I have not created the jinn nor mankind but to worship Me.’ Duʿāʾ of Ādam (ʿalyahi al-salām)In regard to my question, story of Ādam ʿalayhi salām. People say that when Ādam ʿalayhi salām made a mistake he saw the name of Muḥammad ṣallallāhu ʿalayh wa sallam  in sky(ie some where in sky that i dont know properly) and Ādam ʿalayhi salām took wasilah of same name i.e. Mohammed [ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa…

The people of today who do this while ascribing to Islām believe their practice is endorsed by Islām!! And they believe they are worshipping Allāh upon tawḥīd! So, as pointed out by our scholars, the people of today who worship Allāh “through” the deceased are more ignorant of the meaning of Islām than the polytheists of Makkah who fought against our Messenger (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam)! Shaykh Mūsá Richardson A Questioner Asked: Can the dead hear, (I was under the impression they couldn’t)…?  Seeking wasīlah with saints (while acknowledging that Allāh gives all)? I basicaly need…

Allāh, the mighty and majestic created mankind upon al-Fiṭrah (the natural inclination): …Allāh’s fitrah (i.e. Allāh’s Islamic Monotheism), with which He has created mankind. [Sūrah al-Rūm, 30:30] “Part of al-Fiṭrah is loving the truth and detesting falsehood because the truth is sweet, it is delicious to the hearts and falsehood is bitter to the soul.” The six points: 1. Jahl (Ignorance) 2. Khawf (Fear) 3. Kibr (Pride/Arrogance) 4. Ḥasad (Jealousy) 5. Bad Companionship 6. Sins Is it not the case that we have seen from our own brothers/sisters the likes of these points bringing about th…

…And it is a condition (for the validity of wiping over the footwear) that the footwear cover the foot. He may not wipe over footwear that is not sufficiently covering what he is required to wash (i.e. the entire foot, top and bottom, including the ankles), like footwear that is below the ankle, or footwear that is big enough, but does not properly cover the foot because it is too thin, like a thin nylon sock. None of these things may be wiped over since they do not adequately cover (the foot)… Shaykh Mūsá RichardsonIn the Name of Allāh, the Most Merciful… An honored guest reminded me…
