Ashʿariyyah: Answering Three Pivotal Questions about the Ashʿarīs
And the truth that no one doubts, not even the most unintelligent person, is that each and every description that Allāh has described Himself with, or that His Messenger ﷺ described Him with, must be free of any similarity to His Creation, and this is the apparent meaning that comes to mind for the one who has the slightest amount of faith in his heart…Could any intelligent person deny that the meaning that first comes to mind is based on the fact that the Creator is unlike the Creation with regards to His actual Presence, and with regards to His Attributes as well? No, by Allāh! No one deni…

Ashʿariyyah: Clarifying the Doubt-Filled Arguments of the Ashʿarīs
From the points discussed:
The Ashʿarī idea that there are only 7 Attributes only, of which are affirmed by the intellect
The improper understanding of the 7 Attributes they do affirm
Their taḥrīf (distortion) of the texts which mention these seven Attributes
Their mistaken reasoning that the rest of the Attributes are to be rejected since they cannot be affirmed with intellectual reasoning
Using the Intellect as a primary basis of proof is a baseless bidʿah and opposes the manhaj of the early Salaf
Referring to the Intellect in this affair (Asmāʾa’ wa-al-Ṣifāt – Names and A…

Ashʿariyyah: Denying the Hands of Allāh, Relegating the Attributes to Seven
From the points discussed:
The Denial of the (Right) Hands of Allāh, interpreting and explaining them away logically instead of sticking to the texts
The lack of evidence for the Ashaʿirah to relegate Allāh’s Attributes to Seven, the ludicracy of affirming Sight and Hearing for Allāh yet negating other Attributes
The Ashāʿirah will accuse Ahl al-Sunnah of likening Allāh to his Creation, due to their following the way of the righteous Salaf in declaring the Names & Attributes of Allāh, as they came, without distortion, logical analysis or likening them in any way to the creation. T…

Inciting Muslim Youth Towards Jiḥād and Financing Them Without the Permission of the Leaders
Shaykh Ṣāliḥ Al-Fawzān, a member of The Permanent Committee Of Scholars, Saudi al-ʿArabīa, was asked:
Is it permissible to notify the appropriate authorities of individuals who we know are inciting the youth to go and (fight) Jiḥād and provide them with the funds without the permission of the leaders; What is your advice to these kinds of people?
Answer:
Firstly, they should be advised. If they accept this advice and cease these activities then all praise is due to Allāh. If they do not accept this (advice) then in order to prevent them from harming the Muslims and the Muslim children, thos…

Who Leads the Ṣalāh?
The Prophet (ṣallallāhu ʿalayhi wa-sallam) said: The Person who leads the people in prayer is the one who is most well-read (in the Qurʾān), if they are equal in their reading, then the most knowledgeable of them about the Sunnah, if they are equal with their knowledge of the Sunnah, then the one who made ḥijrah first, and if they are equal in the times they made ḥijrah, then the oldest of them in (accepting) Islām and let not a man lead another in his sultan (place of authority), and let him not sit in his special seat in his house except with his permission.” [Collected by Muslim, full r…

Remember Allāh and Avoid Hypocrisy
Imām Ibn Qayyim (رحمه الله) stated:
The continuous remembrance of Allāh [i.e. adkhār] is a protection from hypocrisy, since the hypocrites rarely remember Allāh. Allāh said about them:
وَلَا يَذْكُرُونَ اللَّـهَ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
“And they only remembered Allāh occasionally”
[Al-Nisāʾ, 4:142].
Kaʿb (رحمه الله) said: “Whoever continuously remembers Allāh is free from hypocrisy.” Consequently, Allāh concluded Sūrah al-Munāfiqūn [i.e. The Sūrah of the Hypocrites] by saying:
يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَلَا أَوْلَادُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ اللَّـهِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ…

Refuting the Ḥabashī Doubts on Ibn Taymiyyah
Asalāmu ʿAlaykum
In an attempt to bring a follower of ʿAbdullāh al Habashi to the right path, I received the following response. Please refute the following claims they made so that I can send it back to the brother. Jazak Allāh Khair….
There is blasphemy in Majmuʿ al Fatāwá, volume number 4, page 374 on the right side, on the 4th line. Ibn Taymīyyah said: “Allāh firmly established himself on the throne and leaves a space beside Him for Prophet Muḥammad.”
Ibn Taymīyyah said: “Angels are the helpers of Allāh” and this is clear blasphemy because Allāh does not need anything. The logica…
