The Muʿtazilah and whoever followed them from later generations, for example Shaykh Muḥammad Abduh, Maḥmūd Shaltūt, Aḥmad Shalbī, ʿAbd al-Karīm ʿUthmān, amongst others.
Al-ʿAllāmah Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-ʿUthaymīnInformation related to the Religion (al-khabar), is categorized in accordance to the manner in which it has reached us. There are two categories:
[1]: al-Mutawaatir (recurrent): that which has been narrated from one group to another. Convention dictates: it is impossible that they would act in collusion upon a lie, from the beginning of the chain of narration to the end.

The Āḥād Narration
Likewise, the Messenger (ﷺ) used to believe his Companions in what they informed him of, and likewise, the Companions used to believe each other with regards to what they would narrate from Allāh’s Messenger (ﷺ).
Shaykh ʿUthmān ʿAlī Ḥasan
Does the Āhād Narration Amount to Knowledge?
In this issue there are three opinions:
[i] That the āhād (singular) narration amounts to knowledge absolutely and unrestrictedly.
[ii] That it amounts to knowledge with certain conditions.
[iii] That it does not amount to knowledge at all.

A Study of the Ḥadīth, ‘May Allāh Brighten the Man’
May Allāh brighten the man who heard a ḥadīth from us, memorized it and then conveys it just as he heard it, for perhaps the one who carries fiqh is not a faqīh (one who understands), and perhaps he passes it on with the fiqh to one who is better than him in understanding.

Allāh is beautiful and loves beauty
The Prophet ﷺ
From ʿAbdullāh ibn Masʿūd (raḍī Allāhu ʿanhu) who said that the Prophet (ﷺ) said, “No one will enter Paradise who has an atom’s weight of pride in his heart.” A man said, “What if a man likes his clothes to look good and his shoes to look good?” He said, “Allāh is beautiful and loves beauty. Pride means denying the truth and looking down on people.”1
