Shaykh Ṣāliḥ al-Fawzān Clarifies His Statement “The Muslim Brotherhood are from Ahl al-Sunnah”
Al-ʿAllāmah Ṣālīḥ ibn al-Fawzān
A condemnation of the Muslim Brotherhood in light of a statement mistakenly made.
All praise is due to Allāh, and Ṣalāt and salām upon our Prophet Muḥammad, his family, and his companions.
My view with regards to the Muslim Brotherhood is that they are partisans (ḥizbiyyūn) who covet the attainment of rulership; and that they do not give concern to calling to the correcting of the creed (ʿaqīdah).
And they do not distinguish between their followers, between the Sunni (person upon the Sunnah) and the Bidʿī (person upon innovation).
As for the speech [found] in an audio recording that has come from me, then it is a slip of the tongue and does not change my stance concerning them in the slightest.
