If a person sees a defect from his brother (i.e. a sin), he should not expose him and spread news of it amongst the people. Imām ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz ibn ʿAbdullāh ibn BāzRather, he should conceal [his brother’s sins]; advise him; direct him towards good; call him to repent to Allāh, the Most High; and not expose him to the people. The one who conceals [the sins of] his brother, Allāh will conceal him [i.e. his sins] both in the worldly life and in the Hereafter. This is because the recompense of one is in accordance to that which he has done. As for those who have no shame and make their sins a…

  A reminder about Ramaḍān; its legislation and rewards. Abū Ḥakīm Bilāl Davis expounds upon the virtues of ‘the month of taqwá’ over this twenty-seven minute khuṭbah. Allāh, the Mighty and Majestic stated, إِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِندَ اللَّهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِنْهَا أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ الدِّينُ الْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِكِينَ كَافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَافَّةً ۚ وَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّ اللَّهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّقِينَ ‎﴿٣٦﴾‏ “Verily, the number of months with Allāh is…

So mere affiliation to the Book and the Sunnah, if it is not accompanied by true reliance upon them and acting upon them, then it is merely a claim that is devoid of correctness. Likewise, the ascription to Salafīyyah, if it does not comprise of acting upon the principles of Ahl al-Sunnah wal-Jamāʿah, then it is merely an empty claim. And claims to an appellation do not necessitate confirmation of the attributes. Imām Muḥammad Nāṣir al-Dīn al-Albānī (raḥimahullāh) [d. 1420H]Excerpted from the 2nd Edition of The Sacred Salafī Methodology: An Islāmic Manual of Reform Therefore, this ḥadīth2…

Dr. Saud al-ʿAjājī who was amongst those who accompanied Shaykh al-ʿUthaymīn on the last medical trip he made to Boston (a city in America) said: “Whilst we were leaving the hotel where we were staying in, a little American boy who was with his mother stood in front of him – the Shaykh caught his attention because of his Saudi thawb and abāyah – so he began to touch him on his head and to play with him. So his mother asked him to greet the Shaykh and he returned an even better greeting. Then the Shaykh said directing his speech to the mother ‘May Allāh guide you to Islām’ all during which…

For indeed they (kuffār schools) propagate false beliefs and theories, like the Darwin Theory. They also strive in the promotion of evil characteristics and degraḍīng lowly customs which are in appropriation with them. Considering this, it is upon you and all the Muslims, both male and female to leave off the attendance of these types of schools. Shaykh ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-ʿAdanī   [Q1]: I am a Salafī sister trying my best to follow the sunnah. My mother has married a man who is a shīʿī. Unfortunately he is a follower of the ‘Jafarī shee’ah…

Our brother began the tele-link with our noble Shaykh, Muḥammad Ibn ʿAbd al-Wahhāb al-Banná́ by first sending him the salāms. Then he, our brother, ‘Abdallah continued by introducing himself to the shaykh, and with that he mentioned that he was in The Reign Of Islamic Daʿwah Centre in Toronto, Canada. Our brother ‘Abdallah then told the Shaykh that we have 3 questions to ask him, the shaykh barakallahu fīkum said ‘tafaḍal’ ask your questions. [Q1] Is it Permissible for a Brother to Marry a Righteous Muslim Sister Despite His Father’s Disapproval? [Q2] The Shaykh hafiẓahullāh before answe…

Al-Ḥāfiẓ Ibn Kathīr, Ibn Qayyim and other than them sometimes mentioned aḥādīth without paying much attention to their authenticity, and perhaps this is because of either two reasons: 1. There are other aḥādīth that strengthens that ḥadīth or 2. It is a ḥadīth that encourages the good or admonishes against the evil, and therefore there is certain amount of leeway that can be taken with regards to them. Shaykh ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz al-RājiḥīThe manāhij (methodologies) of the muḥadithīn (scholars of ḥadīth) The four sunan (Abū Dāwūd, At-Tirmidhī, An-Nasaa’ee, and Ibn M…

The noble Shaykh was asked the following question during a June 2004 tele-link with brothers in Toronto, Canada: [Q]: Here in the West, we live in cities where there are no Salafī masājid. Al-hamdulilah, the Salafī brothers are gathered there to use a facility as a masjid, some of them have lease terms for many years. In the masjid, the ṣaláwāt (prayers) are established five times a day, ṣalātul-jumuʿah and a designated Imām (is present). Unfortunately, some of our brothers say that this facility is not considered a masjid&nb…

If he is from ahl al-sunnah, no one is free from errors, so you advise him with good and kind advice, if his mistake has spread then refute his mistake but do not refute him. Shaykh ʿAbdullāh al-Bukhārī View/Download | 2 pages
