In the summer of 2008, our brother Mūsá Richardson taught kitāb al-tawḥīd from the Ṣaḥīḥ of Imām al-Bukhārī. We picked up a significant benefit in the actions of supplications. When we call on Allāh for something and make a duʿāʾ, we are to be firm in this supplication and we must not say, in shāʾ Allāh (if Allāh wills). ie. “O Allāh, give me a righteous wife, in shāʾ Allāh”. Verily Allāh is the all-hearing and He does as He pleases.
