Ibn Ḥazm al-Andalusī (d. 456 AH) said:
“Even great armies are defeated but the sound evidence is never overcome…Many Prophets were killed, but their evidence has never been overcome.”^[1]

Shaykh al-Islām Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728 AH) wrote to some of his relatives in Damascus:
“The truth is always in a state of victory, elevation, and increase, while falsehood is in decline, humiliation, and coming to an end.”^[2]

How true are the words of these vigilant scholars! The truth is never overcome — even with the killing of Prophets. Then what of those lesser than them, who are persecuted, betrayed, harassed, and slandered, yet still carry the truth with honour and dignity?
