The Scholarly Stance on the Killing of Bin Laden al-Khārijī
Al-ʿAllāmah ʿAbd al-Muhsin al-ʿAbbād
A brief reflection on the ease the death of the extremist Usāmah ibn Laden brought the Muslims.

[Q]: What is the balanced position concerning the killing of Usāmah ibn Laden as there were those who are delighted with his killing and others who said that he was a Mujāhid and they judged him to have achieved martyrdom?
[A]: How is he a Mujāhid! Yes, he was a Mujāhid in the path of the devil. Usāmah ibn Laden brought a great deal of evil to the Muslims, and there is no doubt that his departure will bring them ease; the people will be more at ease due to his departure.
